Most of our stones are not treated, however there are a few that we heat that treat, and this is ALWAYS disclosed. Standard heating (low temperature) is generally accepted by the gemological community as a method of treatment for many types of gemstones (sapphires, rubies, tanzanites, tourmaline Paraiba, zircons and others).
We DO NOT sell stones that are treated with beryllium (for sapphires), titanium (for sapphires), synthetic resins (for emeralds) or any other element.
We also DO NOT sell stones that are glass filled (for rubies) and heated to extreme temperatures for a long period (for rubies and sapphires).
The method of enhancement or its absence, is always shown on the certificate and this greatly affects the value of the stone. That is why we always provide the certificate at our expense.
